How we work

Good decisions.
Visible steps.

Dean loves the details. From the finish you choose to the preparation underneath it, his approach is to think through the work and make sure you understand the plan.

Confidence comes from understanding

Know what happens.
And why it matters.

A considered project starts well before the first coating goes down. It starts with your vision, the condition of the concrete, and a conversation about what the finished space needs to do.

Dean walks you through the recommendation, preparation, installation, and care. You’ll understand what your investment includes, what the result is intended to achieve, and how the schedule affects the way you use the space.

If an assessment or site condition calls for a change, the next step is a conversation: what was found, what it means, and how it affects the scope or timing. You stay informed as the project moves forward.

From the first conversation to the finished floor

The details connect
the whole experience.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Start with the space.

Talk through how you use the room, the style you have in mind, and the condition of the concrete.

02 / DEFINE

Know the scope.

Review the preparation, finish, price, access, and timing together, with the work clearly outlined.

03 / INSTALL

Build the system.

Prepare the concrete and install the selected system. Discuss any changes to the scope or timing before proceeding.

04 / HAND OVER

Know what comes next.

Understand when to use your floor, how to care for it, and what your written warranty covers.

The science supports the finish

Understand the why.
Then plan the how.

Dean is interested in what makes a system work, not simply how it looks when it is finished. Concrete condition, existing contamination, moisture, surface preparation, and the selected products all influence the approach.

Temperature, humidity, application windows, and cure requirements matter, too. The project plan should reflect the manufacturer’s requirements and the actual conditions, with clear expectations about installation and return to use.

You don’t need to become a coatings specialist. Dean’s role is to explain the relevant details in language that helps you make a confident decision.

Clear answers.
At every stage.

Your questions are part of the process. These are the details we work through together.

Your vision & the recommendation

How do you want the space to look and feel? How will it be used? Understand why a particular finish and coating system are recommended for your concrete.

Surface condition & preparation

Review which existing coatings or damaged areas need attention, what preparation is included, and which findings could require a change to the plan.

Scope, investment & schedule

Review what you are paying for, what access is required, and when people, vehicles, or equipment can return. Timing reflects the selected products and actual conditions.

Updates & decisions along the way

If a condition affects the agreed work, discuss the options and any change in cost or timing before proceeding with that change.

Care & warranty

Understand how to care for the finished floor and review the written warranty, including coverage, exclusions, and claim procedures.
